It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Do you think I'm talking about Christmas today?  Heck, no!!!  I'm talking consignment season.

I lurve me a good consignment sale.  Because, basically, I'm cheap.  I hate spending money on things I know the kiddos will only wear for a few months.  Plus, you can find some really great brands at deep discounts--hello, Lilly Pulitzer.

I really do like the spring sales much better than the fall ones.  The spring sales are so alive with color.  And, boy mom-no hating, I like the girl stuff so much more.  There, I said it.  Girl clothes are just so much cuter than boy clothes.  And that is why my boy will wear nothing but a diaper this summer.  Kidding.

Tomorrow is my first sale of the season.  And I'm also selling this year since our quiver is full (Duggar reference). I have close to 250 items going out of this house, and my husband couldn't be happier.  So let's hope that people are loose with their money this weekend and it doesn't snow!!!

50 Shades of Gray

It started off as an innocent Sunday.  I was getting ready for church, running a little late as usual.  That's what happens when you are up multiple times at night with 6-month old twins. I had showered and dried my hair (well, it was mostly dry), and since I didn't have time to actually fix it, I pulled it back into a ponytail.

Then I went into the guest/child bathroom.  That's where it happened.  That's where I met Mr. Gray.  When I saw him I gasped.  Where in the world did he come from?  Had he always been there and I didn't notice? Since I was running late, I quickly did my make-up and rushed out the door with the kiddos.

When I got home, I asked my husband about Mr. Gray.  'Yes," he replied, "it's been there a while, and there are some new ones on the top of your head too."

Hello, Katie.  I'm Mr. Gray.  Mr. Gray Hair.

K-cup obsession

Hi, I'm Katie. And I'm obsessed with K-cups.

For those of you who prefer the regular coffee pot, or do I dare say a percolator, the k-cup is the little coffee "pod" that goes into a Keurig. And I'm obsessed with them. I currently have 7 unopened boxes of them in my pantry. I have to physically restrain myself at the store each week to keep from buying more!!

Let me know if there is a k-cup 12-step plan.

Cheers!!

Welcome Y'all

Hey y'all!!

Welcome to my blog. We'll get the awkward introductions out of the way.

My name is Katie. I'm a mama & my daughter says I'm the boss. I've taught her well.  :-)
Actually, I have 3 kids, a 3 year old and 6 month old twins. The kiddos and my husband are going to remain anonymous (his request) on this blog, but I'll reference them by their first initial.

I'm a stay-at-home mom living in the South. I love traveling and reading-specifically southern chick lit and magazines. Yep, I need some fluff. I have two shows that I regularly watch-Pretty Little Liars and NCIS:LA. However, today I started watching Brothers & Sisters on Netflix. LOVE IT!!!

Hope to see y'all again!
